I actually tried a little (very little!) Bal while I was trying to learn Lindy (I've given up on that!) Bal seemed much more natural and easy. I may try to get that and East Coast down someday. All I need is the right partner (don't we all??)

                     I've just finished my four week block in balboa- i feel pretty confident with it too, although, i don't have a dance partner (which is the sad part :cry: )

However, i'm glad i've learnt it- it's GREAT!!!!!!!                        

I want to combine balboa with 20s Charleston and tap and the Carolina shag belly roll but bal is still hard for me.

                     4 months!! do you miss it? or are you satisfied with country dancing? i used to love casino salsa, but gary doesn't dance anything other than the swing dances, so i stopped a few years ago. i should look it up now that i'm in a new city!

I would come out, but I don't want to be around some of the more negative people in our scene.  I'm happier at the Hen.

Oh, and y'all still need to come and check out the Hen.  Live music... for free!  And a lot of it is wonderful for bal.
