Re: Upcoming Update of the Cafe

Well, now that you mention it, there's this glitch with the PM department - everything appears at the bottom of a very long page. This also happens with some of the boards.

Re: Upcoming Update of the Cafe

The new software doesn't seem to agree with the firewall at work. I can log in and view messages, but I cannot post replies to them.

Don't have a problem with other forums, so I think something is amiss there.

Other forums...?  You two-timing fink!

OK, there's probably a setting somewhere that will allow me to tune that a bit.  I'll have a poke at it this weekend.

And feral, I really do hope you'll be back soon.  There is a "lo-fi" option for the Cafe, but I haven't any idea how it looks or works.  But if I can't get thet system working for a dial-up connection, then I'll try to offer the "lo-fi" option for those on a lower bandwidth.

Last thing...about the page sometimes starting way down, that happens whenn there is something in the frame that is too wide, or the computer thinks it is.  I'm going to get in touch with the folks who wrote this software about how to fix that, since it;s not a setting or anything I've been able to find in the code.  But that's a top priority.  It will probably mean that large images get re-sized down a bit, which I think is a great idea.

Keep those requests and suggestion coming!

Also, I've noticed the PM facility seems to be erratic in updating when you have a new message.
Often shows 0 new messages, you dive in there, and low and behold there's a new message.
