Headaches With Internet Explorer

Lately I've been plagued by this sort of things - links that never open, pictures that won't show, "cannot find server" after posting,  sending PMs (sometimes reulting in duplicates) or even typing the URL and frequent freezing upon clicking on something that forces me to shut down other IE windows I have.
Any ideas as to what could be the problem?

Re: Headaches With Internet Explorer

Have you tried clearing your cache?

Click "Tools"
then click "Internet Options"
first click on clear history
then after that clears click on "delete files" click the box for "delete offline files"

You should do this once a month. It'll speed up your PC and may clear out those problems.

Re: Headaches With Internet Explorer

Have you downloaded any of the patches for windows and IE from Windows Update? My computer automatically downloads them, and I haven't had any problems with IE. Though, this sit is the only one I use it for, since Firefox doesn't render PH very well.

Re: Headaches With Internet Explorer

I just cleaned up the cache and so far things are working properly. Now regarding the patches, I once tried to download such a thing but right in the middle of the installation (and in true microsoft fashion) a window pops up saying that an error ocurred and that the application "needs to close". Ah well...

Re: Headaches With Internet Explorer

9 times out of 10 it's a cache issue. The patch that you were downloading probably didn't install.
