So by now you're wondering what makes a Four Fedora pick. Pick up Capitol Collector 's Series collection of Louis Prima. One listen to Prima's style and you know instantly where at least half of today's swing bands get their inspiration. Prima was a wild-man and this collection gives you a glimpse of his musical antics. (He really cut loose on the live stuff.)  Prima is required listening for any hepcat worthy of his two-tones. That is, if you can actually listen without being compelled to the dance floor. If you're a true Prima junkie like I am, you might consider the 8 disk Prima/Smith/Butera Capitol Recordings Collection, but the Capitol Collector's Series will do the trick for most people.
