Frank Sinatra - Sinatra Love Songs
Written by Joe Wood

Sinatra Love SongsMake room for another Frankie album in your 200+ Sinatra discography with Sinatra Love Songs. Pulling from ol' Blue Eyes' Columbia years (1943-1952), Columbia/Legacy Records offers up a remixed and remastered collection of his best renditions of standards penned by the likes of Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, the Gershwins, Rodgers & Hart, and Cahn & Stein. This is Sinatra at his best, when he was still "singing" in his younger days. (By the time I was able to see him live in 1984, he was basically speaking the words.)

Love Songs is the perfect gathering of recordings for that lazy Sunday morning when you just want to stay in bed with your sweetie in your arms. "Falling In Love With You" begins your listening pleasure with its smooth orchestra of strings. It's followed by the melodic "(Just One Way To Say) I Love You." Then cuddle up closer to Frank's 1944 recording of "Embraceable You."

Its easy to see how Sinatra made bobby soxers swoon with songs like "They Say It's Wonderful," "Fools Rush In," "I am Loved," "Every Man Should Marry," and "The Right Girl For Me"—even though only three of these were chart topping hits in their day.

Crooners have come and gone over the years, but none of them have been able to match Frank in his early days, which is why Sinatra still reigns supreme. Sit back, coo with your baby, and enjoy these 15 classic love songs. You can thank me later.
