Bobby Darin - The Legendary Bobby Darin
Written by Will "the Thrill" Viharo

The Legendary Bobby DarinBeyond the Sea—the new biopoic starring Kevin Spacey, who is also touring with a full band performing Darin classics—will likely revitalize popular interest in one of the greatest singers of the 20th Century. Bobby Darin was incredibly versatile, and this compilation highlights his eclectic talents with re-mastered selections from throughout a too-short career cut short by heart disease at 37.

Music fans no doubt have gems like "More", "Charade" and "If I Were a Carpenter" in their collections, but they've never sounded better. The difference is clear from the get-go, as "Once in a Lifetime" comes blaring out of the speakers so crisply it's like you're sitting ringside at the Copa.

You also get unreleased live versions of oft-played signature tunes like "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea". This is a perfect introduction to the storied career of a brilliant performer who left us far too young and who is way overdue for major mainstream reassessment.
